Great article!! The part linking it to astronomy really got me since I use to attend Public Star Parties in Utah all of the time. Now the question for us is.... Is this year the year to have a 'Public' Field day? I think that based on some of the location suggestions we already are looking at parks and that would be a good start. The other thing we should do though is possibly advertise it in the Muskegon Chronicle, and list it on various online sites that have free event listings. We should be ready to teach others about the hobby, have some extra radios (2m for example) that they can use while the contesting also continues on the main set-ups. Then once field day is done we should maybe think about a later in the year Public event.
